Youth Mechanics Training : On-Going Project.

Raised 55%

In partnership with Yuvraj International (U) Ltd TVS, we have equipped up to 6,000 youths, 70% females, today with hands-on skills in motorcycle mechanics, thereby addressing the pressing issue of youth unemployment in Uganda.

With approximately 12,000 motorcycles sold in Uganda each month, the demand for skilled mechanics to handle repairs, maintenance, and spare parts supply continues to grow. This has created countless opportunities for the young people that we have trained.

The training is a 4 (four) months short course integrating both theoretical and practical lessons.

Through our Local Garage partnerships, our trainees are able to complete apprenticeships where each garage hosts at least 6 (six) interns at a time. Allowing all participants to work alongside experienced mechanics, for real-world experience and confidence needed to thrive in a technical workplace.

Our support doesn’t end with training. To ensure their success, every graduate is equipped with a professional toolkit and connected to a job placement, empowering them to start work immediately and thus, paving the way for long-term self-sufficiency.

Project Objectives.

What we have been able to do.

Since the project’s launch in January 2022, we have made noteworthy progress:

These achievements demonstrate the program’s transformative impact on reducing youth unemployment, fostering self-reliance, and supporting the economic stability of communities across Uganda.

How to support the Youth Mechanics.

We have an ambitious vision for the project’s future. But with your support, we can make it happen for the younger generation. Here’s how you can get involved;

1. Advocate and Raise Awareness.

Share our story, connect us with potential donors or corporate sponsors, or simply help us spread the word about the impact we are making.

2. Donate Tools and Equipment.

We rely on donations of toolkits and equipment to ensure that our graduates are well-equipped to start their own motorcycle repair businesses. Contributing tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, toolboxes, or funding for new kits will directly help them.

$200 sponsors a trainee’s full 4-month training, inclusive of the professional tools / toolkit they need to start their career.

3. Partner With Us.

If you are part of the motorcycle or automotive industry, we invite you to join us as a volunteer, mentor, or trainer. Our trainees would greatly benefit from your expertise.

Together, we can break barriers, build futures, and create lasting change. Every action, no matter how small, brings us closer to a brighter tomorrow.
