With high unemployment rates among Ugandan youth, Skill-Up Uganda is a transformative initiative aimed at equipping young people with marketable skills.

By providing training in diverse vocations, microfinance support, and mentorship opportunities, the program empowers youth to become employable or start their own businesses.

Planned Activities.

1. Practical Skills Training.

  • Tailoring.
  • Carpentry.
  • Information Communication Technology (ICT).
  • Hairdressing.

2. Microfinance Support.

Providing start-up kits and small grants to program graduates to help them launch their businesses.

3. Mentorship Programs.

Matching trainees with skilled professionals to provide guidance, business advice, and long-term support.

  • $150 covers training for one youth in a vocational skill.
  • Donate tools, sewing machines, or computers to equip training centers.
  • Share your expertise to guide young entrepreneurs in business and skill application. (Mentor a Youth)
  • Help construct a one-stop skilling hub in Kanungu District with a 3-year development plan costing $1.5 million.
